The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has assured that no health worker in Ghana will be posted without prior financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance.

His revelation comes amid growing concerns over unemployed nurses and delays in postings across the country.

Speaking on the Citizen Show on Accra 100.5 FM with Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah, Mr. Akandoh emphasized his commitment to fairness and transparency in the recruitment and posting of health professionals.

According to him, his administration will strictly ensure that financial clearance is secured before any postings are made.

He explained that this approach is necessary to guarantee that all recruited personnel receive their rightful salaries and allowances, thereby preventing situations where workers are left unpaid.

Addressing allegations of corruption and irregularities in the recruitment process, Mr. Akandoh firmly stated that no recruitment forms will be sold and no lobbying will be tolerated under his watch.

He warned that any individual who engages in such practices does so at their own risk.

His remarks come at a time when many trained nurses have raised concerns over unemployment and delays in postings, calling for urgent government intervention.

Mr. Akandoh reiterated that restoring integrity in the health sector remains a top priority, adding that every qualified health worker will be given a fair opportunity under proper conditions of service.
