Police deploys robust security measures ahead of Easter festivities
The Ghana Police Service has announced comprehensive security arrangements to ensure a safe and incident-free celebration of this year’s Easter festivities.
Police personnel have been deployed across key locations nationwide, with a particular focus on the Kwahu enclave, including event grounds, recreational centres, tourist sites, and other areas expected to experience high human and vehicular traffic.
Patrols and operational teams have been intensified along major routes leading to and from Kwahu, while motor traffic personnel are managing traffic to minimize congestion.
In addition, intelligence operations have been activated nationwide to prevent and respond swiftly to any criminal activity.
The service urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with officers, and adhere to all safety guidelines.
Motorists are specifically advised to observe road traffic regulations, avoid speeding, refrain from drunk driving, and follow directions from officers.
Patrons are also encouraged to safeguard personal belongings and report suspicious activity to the nearest officer or police station.
The Ghana Police Service concluded by wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Easter and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the celebrations.
