Prez. Mahama moves Ahmed Ibrahim to Works, Housing and Water Resources Ministry

President John Dramani Mahama has reassigned the Member of Parliament for Banda, Ahmed Ibrahim, to the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources as part of changes to his ministerial team.

The new appointment was announced in a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesperson and Minister for Government Communications.

Mr Ibrahim, who previously served as Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, replaces Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, who has been moved to the Ministry of Defence.

His new role places him in charge of key areas including housing delivery, water sector development and infrastructure projects.

Prior to the reassignment, Mr Ibrahim was responsible for coordinating issues related to local governance, chieftaincy administration and religious affairs.

The latest ministerial changes form part of President Mahama’s efforts to realign portfolios and strengthen the delivery of government programmes across critical sectors.
