Rikair donates GHS1.18 million medical equipment to G MTF
A leading aviation services company, Rikair, has made a significant donation of medical equipment valued at GHS1,185,800 to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, in a move aimed at strengthening lifesaving care across the country.
The donation, described as a powerful show of support for healthcare delivery, included 15 hospital beds, eight oxygen concentrators, and a range of essential medical accessories.
The presentation was led by Rikair’s Board Chairman, Nana Yaw Asante, and Chief Executive Officer, Philip Creech-Jones, who were accompanied by members of the company’s management team.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Fund, Administrator Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku expressed deep appreciation, noting that the team was both humbled and overwhelmed by the scale of the contribution.
She indicated that the equipment would make an immediate and meaningful impact on patient care, particularly in facilities in need of critical resources such as hospital beds and oxygen support systems.
According to her, the donation represents not only material support but also a strong vote of confidence in the Fund’s mission to improve access to quality healthcare and save lives.
Officials said the contribution comes at a crucial time, as healthcare institutions continue to face increasing demand for essential medical infrastructure and equipment.
The gesture by Rikair is expected to significantly enhance the capacity of beneficiary facilities, ultimately improving patient outcomes and reinforcing ongoing efforts to strengthen Ghana’s healthcare system.
