TOR MD Edmond Kombat honoured for public service at Assemblies of God Ghana meeting
The Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Edmond Kombat, has been honoured for his contribution to public service and the Church at the opening of the 32nd Biennial General Council Meeting of Assemblies of God Ghana.
The event, held at the Pentecost Convention Centre at Gomoa-Fetteh in the Central Region, brought together leaders and members of the Church, government officials and other distinguished guests.
President John Dramani Mahama was among the dignitaries who attended the opening ceremony.
Mr Kombat, in a post shared after the event, expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a reminder that leadership is ultimately about service, integrity, sacrifice and impact.
He said the honour had further strengthened his commitment to serving Ghana with humility, excellence and dedication.
“My spiritual father, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, delivered a powerful charge to us, that we are called to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth,” Mr Kombat said.
According to him, Christians in public service have a responsibility to reflect their faith through their conduct and commitment to the development of the country.
“As Christians in public service, we must represent Jesus Christ well in our service to Mother Ghana, demonstrating our faith through character, excellence, humility and commitment to the public good,” he stated.
The TOR Managing Director stressed that public positions were temporary, but the impact of one’s service could endure long after leaving office.
“Our positions are temporary, but the impact of our service can endure,” he said.
Mr Kombat concluded his message by giving glory to God and reaffirming the importance of faith, integrity and service in public leadership.
The 32nd Biennial General Council Meeting continues to provide a platform for Assemblies of God Ghana to reflect on its mission, leadership and contribution to national development.
