Western Nzema Traditional Council pays courtesy call on Lands Minister
The Western Nzema (Jomoro) Traditional Council, led by its Paramount Chief, Awulae Kwasi Amakyi III, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, to discuss issues relating to the development of the traditional area and the Jomoro Municipality.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to engage on a range of matters considered critical to the socio-economic growth and sustainable development of the area.
The delegation from the Western Nzema Traditional Council included Nana Avo Nweah V, Nana Nyamekeh Annor IV, and Nana Mozuma I, alongside other traditional leaders.
During the engagement, discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between government and traditional authorities to advance development initiatives and address issues affecting communities within the Western Nzema Traditional Area.
The Minister expressed appreciation to the Paramount Chief and members of the Traditional Council for the visit, describing the discussions as productive and insightful.
He also acknowledged the valuable contributions and counsel offered by the traditional leaders, emphasizing the important role chiefs continue to play in promoting development, preserving cultural heritage, and supporting government initiatives at the local level.
