It forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to clamp down on criminal activities and the proliferation of illegal weapons in the area.
According to the Police, the operation resulted in the recovery of eight assorted weapons, including five pump-action guns, a Baikal gun, and two locally manufactured firearms.
Security personnel also retrieved 790 rounds of AAA and BB cartridges, an AK-47 round, and a range of other offensive items such as machetes, bayonets, knives, and clubs.
Additional items seized during the exercise included motorbikes, mobile phones, military-style clothing, boots, and a quantity of talismans, among others.
