Islamic cleric in Takoradi wanted for alleged sexual abuse of 20 minors
The Police in Takoradi has issued a wanted notice for a local Islamic teacher and cleric, Mallam Anas, following serious allegations of sexual abuse involving more than twenty children.
The alleged incidents reportedly took place at his mosque in the Nkwadaa community.
According to reports, the victims—both boys and girls—range between the ages of six and ten.
Among them are three siblings from the same mother, all of whom the cleric is accused of raping.
Many of the children are said to be suffering from severe physical injuries as a result of the abuse.
Mallam Anas is currently on the run, and a manhunt has been launched by law enforcement agencies.
