The Member of Parliament for Ketu North Constituency, Edem Agbana, has received a donation of 50 laptops and 30 tablets from the Identra Ghana Foundation to support digital learning in schools across the constituency in the Volta Region.

The donation, presented on Sunday, forms part of ongoing efforts to equip students with essential digital tools and enhance computer literacy among young learners.

Mr Agbana described the contribution as a significant boost to his office’s initiative to bridge the digital divide in Ketu North, noting that access to technology is critical for preparing students to compete in an increasingly digital world.

He disclosed that since 2023, over 120 desktop computers and 200 laptops have been distributed to selected schools and students within the constituency.

He added that the latest donation marks the first time tablets are being introduced for early learners, aimed at strengthening foundational digital skills.

The MP expressed gratitude to the Identra Ghana Foundation for what he described as a strategic investment in the future of young people, while indicating that the organisation plans to extend similar support to other constituencies.

He further highlighted the role of the Partnership Desk in his office, which continues to facilitate collaborations with institutions and individuals to improve educational outcomes in the area.

According to him, the long-term goal is to ensure that every basic school in Ketu North is equipped with at least one desktop computer to support practical teaching and learning.

The initiative is expected to enhance digital inclusion and strengthen education delivery across the constituency.
