ECG transformer upgrade programme begins today!
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has commenced a transformer upgrade and replacement programme aimed at improving electricity supply and reliability in parts of the Greater Accra Region.
The exercise, which begins today, will affect several communities including Adenta, La, Teshie–Nungua, Nmai-Dzor, Baatsonaa, and Lashibi, as well as surrounding areas.
According to ECG, residents in these locations may experience temporary power interruptions while the upgrade works are ongoing.
The company explained that the initiative forms part of broader efforts to enhance power distribution, reduce unplanned outages, and ensure a more stable and reliable electricity supply for consumers.
ECG has appealed to affected residents for patience and cooperation, assuring that the temporary inconvenience will lead to long-term improvements in service delivery.
