President nominates Diana Asotaarige Ayamga as Bongo DCE
The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has announced the nomination of Diana Asotaarige Ayamga as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Bongo District Assembly.
According to a statement issued on April 7, 2026, the nomination was made by the President of the Ghana in line with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended.
The appointment is, however, subject to approval by the Bongo District Assembly.
The official communication, referenced OPS.103/26/497, was released through the Office of the President and confirmed that the nomination forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and administrative leadership at the district level.
The statement was signed by Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
