The Ghana Armed Forces have revived the historic Exercise Tiger’s Path, returning to full action in 2025 after a five-year hiatus.

The exercise, first established in 1991 under the PNDC, has been restored with renewed commitment, with officials assuring participants that it is “back for good.”

As part of activities marking the exercise, the Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, on behalf of the Minister for Roads and Highways, commissioned the completion of the entire internal road network at the Jungle Warfare Training School in Achiase in the Eastern Region.

The project, which includes newly constructed parade grounds, was initiated and completed within the year.

Mr. Brogya Genfi expressed gratitude to Mr. Kwame Governs Agbodza for prioritising the road works, noting that the improved infrastructure will greatly enhance training operations.

He also paid tribute to the late Minister for Defence, Mr. Edward Omane Boamah, for his key role in initiating the project, while commending the Military High Command for their leadership throughout the process.

The Deputy Minister further acknowledged the Training School for the honorary award presented to him and extended appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for his continued investment in the infrastructure of the Ghana Armed Forces.

At the conclusion of the exercise, Central Command emerged as the overall winner, earning praise for its resilience and performance.

All participating units were commended for their strength, endurance, and dedication as the iconic military exercise returned to the national calendar.
