Aftermath of Lumba funeral: Counsellor Lutterodt arrested over alleged incitement to violence
The Ghana Police Service has arrested and detained Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as Counsellor Lutterodt, over allegations of inciting violence.
According to police, the suspect was picked up for alleged offences under the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) and the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491).
Authorities say the arrest is linked to claims that Counsellor Lutterodt engaged in conduct deemed to be incitement to violence, as well as offensive behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act.
Police indicated that the suspect is currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
The development forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ghana Police Service to enforce laws related to public order and prevent actions that could threaten peace and security.
