V/R: Minister engages NDC communication officers to strengthen public messaging on government agenda

The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has engaged Communication Officers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region as part of efforts to strengthen public communication on government policies and development initiatives.

The meeting offered the minister the opportunity to highlight key projects, programmes, and interventions aimed at improving the socio-economic development of the region, while equipping participants with accurate and up-to-date information to enhance their outreach and public engagement.

Through a series of presentations, participants were taken through the government’s development agenda, ongoing infrastructure works, social intervention programmes, and strategic initiatives designed to promote growth and improve livelihoods. 

The session also underscored the need for coordinated messaging, fact-based communication, and proactive community engagement to build public trust and awareness.

The engagement further created space for interactive discussions, with Communication Officers sharing ideas on improving strategies and deepening collaboration. 

In his address, the minister urged all communicators to enhance effective educational and ensure they are committed and dedicated to the developmental agenda of the government to accelerate socio economic empowerment and change of the region.

He further urged them to stay united and ensure they relate well with the people in their various communities. This, he said, will go along way to protect the trust the Ghanaian people have in the NDC government.

The Volta Regional Minister reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that, Volta region is developed and to create enabling working environment for all to attract investors and job opportunities.

It ended with a renewed commitment to effectively communicate government policies and achievements, while keeping the people of the Volta Region well informed.
