Ministry of Health to begin nationwide recruitment of health professionals on April 16
The Ministry of Health will commence nationwide recruitment of health professionals on 16 April 2026, according to a press release dated 2 April 2026.
The exercise follows the granting of financial clearance, which remains valid until 31 December 2026; all hiring must be completed within that period.
Recruitment will be decentralized and conducted at the district level based on verified vacancies.
The release says the process will be competitive and transparent, guided by an approved quota system across cadres and year groups, and will stay within approved budgetary limits.
Spokesperson Tony Goodman urged qualified health professionals to monitor official Ministry and district health administration channels for vacancy announcements and guidelines, and to prepare required documents ahead of the rollout.
The Ministry says the drive is intended to strengthen healthcare delivery across Ghana.
