Deputy Energy Minister marks oral health week celebration in Gomoa West
The Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition and Member of Parliament for Gomoa West, Richard Gyan-Mensah, has climaxed the 2026 Oral Health Week celebration in the district with an event held at Apam Methodist School.
The programme, which took place in Gomoa West District, brought together students, teachers, and health professionals to promote oral hygiene awareness among young people.
Mr. Gyan-Mensah commended the medical team from the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for their collaboration and support in delivering essential dental care services during the week-long activities.
He also expressed appreciation to the Gomoa West Education Directorate and the teaching staff of participating schools for their leadership and commitment to ensuring the success of the programme.
The Oral Health Week celebration forms part of broader efforts to encourage preventive healthcare practices among schoolchildren and improve overall community health outcomes.
Participants were educated on proper oral hygiene practices, with health professionals emphasising the importance of regular dental check-ups and good oral care habits.
