MoFA Minister Eric Opoku to engage media on agriculture sector
The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, is set to engage the media on key issues within Ghana’s agriculture sector at a scheduled briefing on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
The engagement, organised by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), will take place at 11 AM in the ministry’s conference room in Accra.
According to a media invitation issued by the Ministry’s Public Relations Unit, the session is expected to provide an opportunity for the Minister to interact directly with journalists on matters concerning agriculture and food production in the country.
The engagement forms part of efforts by the ministry to strengthen communication with the media and provide updates on policies, programmes and interventions within the sector.
The briefing will also allow the Minister to respond to questions from the media and clarify issues relating to the Ministry’s activities. It comes at a time when concerns have emerged over the supply of tomatoes in Ghana following Burkina Faso disallowing tomato exports to neighbouring countries, including Ghana. The development is expected to have implications for local markets, where a significant portion of tomato supply is sourced from across the border.
The ministry has invited members of the media to attend the session.
