NPA joins Ghana Army to launch activities for World Kidney Day 2026
Officials of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) have joined the Ghana Army and other stakeholders to launch activities marking World Kidney Day 2026.
The event, held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, was hosted by the Ghana Armed Forces' Critical and Emergency Hospital and brought together health professionals, policymakers and members of the public to promote awareness on kidney health.
The NPA delegation was led by the Director for Consumer Services, Eunice Budu Nyarko.
The programme focused on raising public awareness about kidney health, encouraging preventive practices and promoting early detection of kidney disease.
The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, attended the event as Special Guest of Honour, while the Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, was also present.
Organisers said the initiative forms part of efforts to educate the public about kidney-related diseases and encourage healthier lifestyles to reduce the risk of kidney complications.
