The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly in the Central Region, Seth Banini, has begun a Community Accountability Engagement series with residents in Kasoa, starting with the Americantown area.

The initiative forms part of efforts by the Assembly to promote transparency, accountability, and active citizen participation in local governance and development, while strengthening the decentralisation process.

Addressing residents, the MCE outlined ongoing development projects within the municipality, including sanitation interventions, security measures, and infrastructure improvements being implemented in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for the area, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor.

He assured residents of the Assembly’s commitment to responsive leadership and continued efforts to improve living conditions across communities in the municipality.

The engagement brought together chiefs, opinion leaders, youth groups, traders, and other residents, who used the platform to share concerns, suggestions, and expectations regarding local development.

The MCE indicated that the engagement will be extended to other electoral areas within Kasoa as part of a sustained effort to deepen collaboration between the Assembly and residents.

Community members who participated expressed appreciation for the interaction, describing it as an important step toward inclusive governance, and pledged their support for initiatives aimed at improving development outcomes in the municipality.
