Foreign Affairs Ministry order directors, staff to welcome Minister Ablakwa at airport today
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a circular ordering all directors and staff to assemble at the Accra International Airport to welcome the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
According to the notice, the Minister is expected to arrive from New York, United States, on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 6:45 a.m., where he will be received at the VIP Lounge of the airport.
The Ministry indicated that the reception follows Ghana’s successful leadership in securing the adoption of a historic resolution at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), which recognises the trafficking of enslaved Africans and racialised chattel enslavement as the gravest crime against humanity.
The circular emphasised the importance of the occasion and urged directors to attend in order to extend a warm welcome to the Minister upon his return.
The directive was issued by the Director of Human Resource and Administration at the Ministry, Divina A. Seanedzu, who called for full cooperation from all invitees.
Copies of the circular were also sent to the Chief Director, Coordinating Directors, and the Head of the Delivery Unit.
