Former Head of Chancery of Ghana Embassy in Brasília appointed Ghana’s ambassador to Japan
The Government of the Republic of Ghana has appointed former Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Ghana, Brasília, Mr. Humphrey C. Ajongbah, as Ghana’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan.
Mr. Ajongbah was officially commissioned on Wednesday, 13th May 2026, by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House, the seat of government of the Republic of Ghana.
His appointment has been received with considerable pride and admiration within diplomatic circles, particularly among staff and associates of the Ghana Mission in Brasília, where he served with distinction as Head of Chancery.
During his tenure in Brasília, Mr. Ajongbah was widely respected for his administrative dexterity, professionalism, institutional discipline and unwavering commitment to Ghana’s foreign policy objectives.
