Young Parliamentarians Forum meets Speaker Bagbin over legislative initiatives
The leadership of the Young Parliamentarians Forum has held a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to discuss planned programmes and activities for the current parliamentary session.
The meeting, held last Thursday, offered members of the forum the opportunity to brief the Speaker on a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of young legislators in parliamentary work.
According to the forum’s leadership, the proposed activities are intended to encourage policy innovation, enhance collaboration among younger Members of Parliament, and promote active participation in legislative processes.
The engagement also focused on strategies to support the work of Parliament and deepen democratic governance through the contributions of young lawmakers.
Members of the forum reaffirmed their commitment to playing a meaningful role in the legislative process and supporting efforts that advance effective parliamentary governance in Ghana.
