Antoine Semenyo joins Black Stars camp after Carabao Cup triumph
Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has joined the Black Stars in camp ahead of their upcoming international friendlies.
Semenyo arrived at the team’s base in Vienna on Monday, March 23, 2026, less than 24 hours after helping City secure the Carabao Cup with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal at Wembley.
The win marked Semenyo’s first major career title.
The forward immediately joined the rest of the Black Stars squad, which opened camp on Sunday, March 22.
He was also given a guard of honour by his national teammates in recognition of his recent success with Manchester City.
Semenyo is part of the squad named by coach Otto Addo for the friendly matches against Austria and Germany, which form part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
Ghana will make its fifth FIFA World Cup appearance, beginning their campaign by playing against Panama, England and Croatia in Group L.
