Asamoah Gyan meets Atlantic City Mayor to boost Ghana fan support for 2026 World Cup
Ghana football legend Asamoah Gyan has held strategic discussions with Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. on plans to support Ghanaian fans travelling to the United States for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Representing his Asamoah Gyan Foundation, Gyan presented one of his iconic No. 3 jerseys to the Mayor during the visit. He was accompanied by his manager, Samuel Anim Addo, CEO of AGF/Goldstar Consult Ltd, and Anita Barakat, CEO of Rediscover Africa.
The discussions centered on ensuring that Ghanaian supporters receive comprehensive support in areas such as accommodation, logistics, security, and general welfare during the tournament.
Beyond fan support, the meeting explored broader opportunities in sports tourism, cultural exchange, and business partnerships, aiming to strengthen ties between Ghana, Africa, and the United States.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts by Gyan and his foundation to enhance the World Cup experience for Ghanaian fans while promoting international collaboration beyond football.
Ghana is set to face Panama, England, and Croatia in the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
