Black Stars arrive in Toronto ahead of World Cup opener against Panama
Ghana's Black Stars have arrived in Toronto ahead of their opening match against Panama at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team landed in the Canadian city on Monday and was welcomed by a large number of Ghanaian supporters, who gathered to receive the players, technical staff and officials.
After interacting briefly with fans, the team departed for its base, where preparations will continue ahead of the opening fixture.
The Black Stars are scheduled to hold a final training session at BMO Field before taking on Panama.
Ghana will be aiming for a positive start to its World Cup campaign in what will be the first match for both sides in the tournament.
In the group's other fixture, England will face Croatia.
Meanwhile, uncertainty remains over the availability of midfielder Thomas Partey, who has yet to join the squad in Toronto following a visa dispute.
Partey was denied entry into Canada and remains in Rhode Island as diplomatic efforts continue to resolve the situation.
Ghanaian authorities have been engaged in discussions with their Canadian counterparts in an attempt to secure the midfielder's clearance before the Black Stars' opening game.
