GFA clarifies 2026 World Cup ticket distribution process
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has clarified that tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup 2026 have not yet been distributed by FIFA to any purchasers globally.
In a statement issued on May 20, 2026, the GFA said the delay forms part of FIFA’s centralised ticket distribution process ahead of the tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
According to the GFA, all tickets will be delivered through the official FIFA Ticketing Application, which is expected to be released in the coming days.
Fans will be required to download and activate the mobile application to access or transfer their digital tickets.
The GFA said it remains in communication with FIFA’s ticketing department to provide updates and clarity for Ghanaian supporters planning to attend the tournament.
The association added that the digital-only ticketing system is intended to reduce fraud and unauthorized ticket resale.
Ghana is scheduled to face Panama, England, and Croatia in Group G of the tournament.
