Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team secures bronze at African Athletics Championships
Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team won the bronze medal at the African Athletics Championships, finishing with a time of 38.74 seconds at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The Ghanaian quartet — comprising Edwin Gadayi, Joseph-Paul Amoah, Ibrahim Fuseini, and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu — secured the podium finish in front of a home crowd at #Accra2026.
Ivory Coast took the gold medal with a time of 38.52 seconds, while Nigeria placed second at 38.70 seconds, narrowly beating Ghana.
This relay bronze increases Ghana’s total medal haul at the championships to four, alongside a silver medal from Esther Ohenewa in the women’s high jump, a bronze from Florence Agyeman in the women’s 400m, and a bronze from Alex Amankwah in the men’s 800m.
