U.S. Embassy Ghana to host discussion on strengthening women’s football coaching
The U.S. Embassy Ghana will host a discussion on building the capacity of Ghanaian coaches working with female footballers as part of its “Decade of Sports: U.S. Soccer Playbook” programme.
The event, “Capacity Building of Ghanaian Coaches for Female Athletes,” is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1 PM at the U.S. Embassy Ghana.
The panel will feature former American professional soccer player Kofi Sarkodie, World Cup champion and pioneering coach Amy Griffin, and football executive and sports strategist Cleopatra Nsia Nkettiah.
Sports content creator Bernice Boakye Ansah will moderate the discussion.
Attendees have been advised to arrive between 9:45 AM and 10:15 AM for check-in and to bring a physical Ghana Card or passport.
The event is part of the U.S. Embassy’s sports-focused programming and will centre on strengthening coaching capacity for female athletes in Ghana.
