Fameye opens up on broken ties with Shatta Wale, hopes to reunite
Ghanaian highlife singer Fameye has opened up about his broken friendship with dancehall star Shatta Wale, saying he wants them to reconnect and work together again.
In an interview on Joy Prime on April 16, 2026, Fameye said he is confused about why Shatta Wale suddenly changed his attitude toward him.
He explained that they used to be very close, always talking and even planning music projects together, but things have now changed.
Fameye said, “I really want Shatta Wale on my song, but it feels like he is upset with me.
#We used to talk all the time, but now he is ignoring me, and I don’t know why.
He stressed that he is unaware of any offense he may have caused, insisting that he has no ill will toward Shatta Wale.
“Maybe I said something somewhere that didn’t sit well with him, but to my knowledge, I haven’t done anything wrong.
I don’t carry bad energy toward him, so I don’t understand his behavior,” he added.
Fameye lamented that Shatta Wale no longer replies to his messages, noting that their daily communication has completely stopped.
Despite the strain, Fameye emphasized his admiration for Shatta Wale’s artistry and personality.
“I want him to know that I love him, I listen to his music, and I respect his character.
I really want his verse in my studio—not just for the feature, but because he’s a great person to work with
