Prince Tagoe accuses Stonebwoy of showing hostility toward Shatta Wale and his music
Former Black Stars forward Prince Tagoe has accused dancehall artiste Stonebwoy of showing hostility toward Shatta Wale and his music
During a TikTok Live session on April 15, 2026, Tagoe took issue with a lyric from Stonebwoy’s song Deeper, particularly the line, “My property no go look for EOCO.”
He argued that the statement was inappropriate and appeared to indirectly take a jab at Shatta Wale, following reports that one of his cars had been seized by authorities over alleged criminal links.
Tagoe expressed disappointment over the lyric, saying personal differences should not lead to celebrating or hinting at another person’s misfortune.
He described the line as unnecessary and disrespectful.
He further alleged that Stonebwoy discourages people within his circle from listening to Shatta Wale’s music.
According to him, anyone who played Shatta Wale’s songs around the artiste risked being sidelined, a situation he believes reflects ongoing tension.
Tagoe praised Shatta Wale’s attitude, recalling a moment when the musician visited his home and reacted differently.
He said Shatta Wale joined in singing along to Stonebwoy’s music instead of objecting.
