“I had intimacy in a church'' -Broda Sammy narrates
Ghanaian gospel artist Broda Sammy has shared a candid account from his younger years, revealing how an unexpected encounter inside a church eventually led to the birth of his first child.
Speaking to Nana Romeo on Okay FM on March 17, 2026, Broda Sammy recounted that the incident took place years ago while he was living and working in a church building.
During this period, he was actively involved in helping with cleaning and other church duties.
It was during these moments that he developed a relationship with a woman who was also volunteering at the church.
Their involvement eventually resulted in a pregnancy, an experience that left a lasting impact on his life.
Reflecting on the episode, Broda Sammy admitted that he was young and naïve at the time, unprepared for the responsibilities that would follow.
He explained that a church elder later stepped in to provide care and support for the child, ensuring she was raised in a stable environment.
Today, that daughter is 21 years old and pursuing her higher education at the University of Ghana, he added.
