Rapper Okyeame Kwame has dismissed claims that he is at odds with fellow musician Guru.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on April 15, 2026, he explained that he has no issues with Guru, emphasizing that the rapper is one of his favorite artistes.

“The last time I saw Guru was just a week ago. We embraced for nearly two hours. I care deeply about him… so why would anyone think we’re not on good terms?” he asked.

Kwame clarified that the tension years ago stemmed from Obrafour, not Guru.

Obrafour had released a diss track featuring Guru, which Kwame felt was unnecessary at the time.

“The only person I was upset with was Obrafour.

He was both a close friend and a senior colleague, so his actions hurt me.

I never blamed Guru—if I had been in his position, I might have done the same, or even more,” Kwame explained.

Background to the Dispute

The misunderstanding dates back to 2009 after Okyeame Kwame and Obour released Killing The Game, a track meant to highlight challenges in the Hiplife industry.

Obrafour, apparently misinterpreting the song’s message, later collaborated with Guru on Kasiebo, a track widely believed to contain subtle jabs at Kwame
