Stonebwoy picks Shatta Wale’s song in his ideal Ghana top 5 for FIFA World Cup playlist
Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy has named fellow artist Shatta Wale among his top picks for songs he believes could represent Ghana on a global stage like the FIFA World Cup.
Speaking in an interview on Angel FM, Stonebwoy said if he were given the chance to select five Ghanaian songs for international recognition, he would include a mix of his own work and songs from other top artists.
According to him, his selection would feature one of his own tracks — either “Go Higher” or Jejereje alongside “(Kakalika)” by DopeNation.
He also mentioned “Kakai” by Shatta Wale.
Stonebwoy added that a song from award-winning rapper Sarkodie would make the list, as well as a track from a female Ghanaian artist to ensure gender representation.
“I will choose my own song, either ‘Go Higher’ or Jejereje.
Then DopeNation’s ‘Kakalika’, Shatta Wale’s ‘Kakai’, a Sarkodie song, and one song from a female artist, so the ladies are included — that will be my top five for FIFA,” he said.
