The Ghana Tourism Authority has set April 3 to 6, 2026 for this year’s Kwahu Easter Paragliding Festival at the Odweanoma Mountains in the Eastern Region.

The GTA’s March 24 release says President John Dramani Mahama will serve as patron, with Tourism Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie supporting and GTA CEO Maame Efua Houadjeto overseeing the organisation.

Marketed as Ghana’s flagship adventure-tourism event, the festival will offer tandem paragliding flights for visitors, aerial displays by pilots, safety demonstrations, and tourism exhibitions to promote the country for domestic and international travellers.

Alongside the flights, Kwahu towns will host street carnivals, musical concerts and nightlife events, cultural performances and traditional displays, food bazaars showcasing Ghanaian cuisine, exhibitions of Made-in-Ghana goods, tourism activation programmes, and community and youth activities.

The Authority says it is coordinating with the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council, Kwahu traditional authorities, Municipal and District Assemblies, security services, and private partners to ensure safety and logistics.

Framed as part of government policy to strengthen domestic tourism and the creative arts sector, the GTA is inviting the public, corporate organisations, and international visitors to attend.
