Adamus Resources threaten legal action over ‘false and malicious’ Mali media reports
Lawyers for Adamus Resources Limited and business executive Angela List have condemned what they describe as false, misleading, and coordinated media publications seeking to improperly associate the company and its leadership with alleged regulatory breaches in Mali.
In a press release issued on May 25, 2026, the company’s solicitors, Apatu-Plange & Co PRUC, accused some newspapers of deliberately distorting the contents of a correspondence reportedly issued by Mali’s Ministry of Mines in order to damage the reputation of Adamus Resources and Madam Angela List.
According to the lawyers, the alleged regulatory breaches referenced in the correspondence relate specifically to MIKO-SA and not Adamus Resources Limited.
The legal team argued that certain media outlets intentionally framed their reports around the description of MIKO-SA as a “sister company” of Adamus Resources in a bid to create the impression that Adamus Resources and Angela List were directly implicated in the allegations.
The lawyers stressed that although some companies may exist within a broader corporate structure, they remain legally separate entities and allegations against one entity cannot automatically be transferred to another based on perceived affiliations.
They further noted that the correspondence circulating publicly merely contained allegations, adding that MIKO-SA itself denies the claims referenced in the document.
The statement also alleged that the simultaneous publication of similar front-page stories across multiple newspapers suggested a coordinated effort by unnamed individuals to tarnish the reputation of Adamus Resources and its leadership.
According to the company’s solicitors, it was particularly striking that Ghanaian media outlets appeared more active in amplifying the matter than media organizations in Mali, where the original correspondence allegedly originated.
The lawyers accused sections of the media of exploiting ongoing public discussions surrounding Adamus Resources to manufacture what they described as a false narrative portraying Angela List and associated companies as operating outside lawful and regulatory standards.
They maintained that Adamus Resources and Madam Angela List have built reputable businesses over the years through lawful enterprise and would not allow “faceless interests” to use the media as a platform for reputational attacks.
The company has consequently called on media houses and individuals responsible for the publications to immediately cease circulating what it described as false and defamatory narratives linking Adamus Resources and Angela List to the allegations in Mali.
The statement warned that the company reserves the right to pursue legal action against any media house, individual, or entity found to have participated in the publication and dissemination of the disputed reports.
