Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture is in The Hague to secure strategic partnerships aimed at improving access to high-yielding vegetable seeds to support year-round farming in the country.

The Deputy Minister for Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, disclosed the development in a social media update, outlining the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen Ghana’s agricultural productivity through international collaboration.

According to him, the engagements in the Netherlands are focused on enhancing seed quality and availability, a key component of government’s all-year-round farming policy.

Mr. Dumelo also revealed plans to embark on a nationwide tour to engage farmers ahead of the upcoming farming season.

The tour is expected to cover Sankore, Dormaa, Sampa, and Sissala East and West, where discussions will centre on strategies to improve agricultural output.

The Ministry’s initiative forms part of broader efforts to boost food security, support farmers, and drive agricultural transformation in Ghana.
