Ato Forson hands over Defence Ministry to Kenneth Gilbert Adjei
Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson has formally handed over responsibility for the Ministry of Defence to Kenneth Gilbert Adjei.
After the passing of Dr Edward Omane Boamah in the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash, President John Dramani Mahama tasked Dr Ato Forson to take charge of the Defence Ministry.
After serving as caretaker of the ministry for a year, Dr Ato Forson has now transferred responsibility to Mr Adjei.
The two ministers signed the relevant documents to formally confirm the change in leadership.
“I have just formally handed over the stewardship of the Ministry of Defence to Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei,” Dr Ato Forson said in a Facebook post.
“I leave this Ministry with deep gratitude, a profound sense of honour and the satisfaction of duty fulfilled.”
