Dormaa Omanhene joins communal labour during cocoa farmers’ engagement in Bono Region
The Director of Agribusiness Development at the Presidency, Peter Boamah Otokunor, recently held an engagement with cocoa farmers in the Dormaa East District as part of efforts to support agricultural development in the area.
During the visit to Kwameasua, Dr Otokunor had an interaction with Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II, the traditional ruler of the Dormaa Traditional Area.
The meeting formed part of a broader engagement with cocoa farmers aimed at discussing issues affecting cocoa production and exploring ways to strengthen the sector in the district.
Observers noted that the Dormaa Omanhene demonstrated his leadership style by participating in communal labour with members of the community during the visit.
The engagement highlighted the role of traditional leadership and government collaboration in supporting farmers and promoting agricultural development in cocoa-growing communities across the region
