Ghanaian Hajj Concern commends Hajj Board over 2026 preparations
The Ghanaian Hajj Concern has praised the leadership of the Ghana Hajj Board for what it describes as significant progress in preparations toward the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
In a press statement dated April 7, 2026, the group extended its congratulations to the Board Chairman, Alhaji Abdul Rauf Tanko, highlighting his dedication and leadership in ensuring a smooth planning process so far.
According to the statement, the Concern noted encouraging developments, particularly the Board’s swift response and strong collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. It said this level of coordination reflects a deep commitment to delivering a successful pilgrimage experience for Ghanaian Muslims.
The group also acknowledged recent policy changes introduced by the Ministry, including new health certification requirements and arrangements for sacrifice (Hadaya). Despite these additional measures, the Hajj Board was commended for demonstrating efficiency and adaptability in managing the processes while minimizing potential challenges for prospective pilgrims.
“Your leadership and proactive engagement are clear indicators of a desire to raise the standard of Hajj administration in Ghana,” the statement noted, adding that these efforts continue to build confidence among pilgrims and their families.
Ghanaian Hajj Concern further encouraged the Board to remain focused and committed to delivering a well-organized, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj for all Ghanaian pilgrims this year.
