Ghana Medical Trust Fund marks World Health Day with call for stronger healthcare access
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund has reaffirmed its commitment to improving access to healthcare for vulnerable populations as the world marks World Health Day.
In a statement issued to commemorate the occasion, the Fund emphasized its ongoing mission to support individuals battling life-threatening and chronic conditions, while working to eliminate barriers that hinder access to quality healthcare.
The organisation noted that its efforts are focused on ensuring that all Ghanaians, regardless of their background or location, can receive timely and adequate medical care and live with dignity.
It further called on stakeholders across the health sector, including government agencies, development partners, and Civil Society Organisations, to collaborate in strengthening Ghana’s healthcare system.
According to the Fund, collective action is essential to advancing a shared vision of a more inclusive and resilient healthcare system that meets the needs of all citizens.
World Health Day is observed annually to raise awareness on key global health issues and mobilise efforts toward improving health outcomes worldwide.
