Invest in SHS infrastructure to fix CSSPS challenges – Haruna Iddrisu
The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has underscored the need for increased investment in Senior High School infrastructure as a long-term solution to challenges linked to the Computerised School Placement System (CSSPS).
He noted that expanding school facilities nationwide is essential to reducing pressure on the placement system and enhancing access to quality secondary education.
Speaking to candidates sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at Asawinso Senior High School on Monday, May 4, the Minister assured students that efforts are underway to support a smooth transition into SHS.
He also urged candidates to remain composed, adding that a nationwide sensitisation programme will soon be introduced to guide them in making informed school choices.
Mr Iddrisu explained that resolving persistent issues with the placement system will require deliberate expansion of infrastructure across Senior High Schools in the country.
