Kwahu comes alive as paragliding festival kicks off
The 2026 edition of the annual Kwahu Easter Paragliding Festival is currently in progress at Odweanoma Mountain, attracting large crowds, traders, and a strong security presence.
Around 50 participants have signed up for the first day of the paragliding activity, which is being conducted by four pilots—two from the United States, one from Peru, and one from Ghana.
The event, a key feature of Easter festivities in the country, is already boosting local commerce, as vendors set up stalls across the area to serve the growing number of visitors.

This year’s festival coincides with the second edition of the Kwahu Business Forum, led by Julius Debrah, which focuses on attracting investment and exploring economic prospects.
Security arrangements have been intensified, with a large deployment of police personnel ordered by the Inspector General of Police. Officers are working in coordination with other security agencies to ensure safety and regulate traffic across key locations in Kwahu.
