Minister of the Year 2025: Palm Convention Center to host Ghana’s most anticipated governance awards night
The stage is set for the 6th Edition of the Ghana Minister of the Year Awards, happening live at the La Palm Beach Convention Center on Saturday, 6th June 2026 at 6:00 PM prompt.
Now in its 6th year, the MOTY Awards have become Ghana’s premier platform for recognising Ministers of State who have moved beyond rhetoric to deliver measurable results in their portfolios. In a political landscape often dominated by promises, the awards spotlight one thing that matters most: delivery.
Why This Year Matters
2025 was a defining year for Ghana’s recovery and growth agenda. With economic stabilisation, sector reforms, and renewed focus on agriculture, education, trade, and foreign policy, the work of Ministers of State directly shaped the lived experience of millions of Ghanaians.
The MOTY Awards exist to reward that work, hold public office to account, and inspire a culture of performance in government. When ministers know their work will be measured and celebrated publicly, governance gets better.

More Than an Awards Night
The MOTY Awards are not a popularity contest. They are a governance accountability tool. Winners are selected based on verified delivery against mandate, stakeholder feedback, and impact on Ghana’s development goals.
By celebrating high performance, the awards achieve three things for Ghana’s ecosystem:
1. Raise the bar: Set a public standard for what effective ministerial leadership looks like.
2. Restore trust: Show citizens that public service can work when focused on results.
3. Inspire the next generation: Give young leaders proof that integrity and delivery are rewarded.
The 6th MOTY Awards will bring together government, civil society, private sector leaders, diplomats, and media for an evening of recognition, dialogue, and national pride.
As Ghana pushes toward sustainable growth and stronger institutions, celebrating delivery in public service is not optional. It’s essential.
