Parliamentary Energy Committee tours Vivo Energy
The Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy has undertaken a working visit to Vivo Energy Ghana and Shell Ghana as part of its oversight responsibilities in the downstream petroleum sector.
The visit was aimed at giving members of the committee firsthand insight into the operations of the two companies, as well as assessing their contributions to Ghana’s energy value chain.
During the engagements, officials from both firms delivered detailed presentations outlining their operational structures, key challenges, and strategic priorities within the industry.
Chairman of the Committee, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, underscored the need to strengthen the downstream petroleum sector through targeted legislative reforms.
He reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to supporting policies that will enhance growth, improve operational efficiency, and promote sustainability across the industry.
The visit forms part of Parliament’s broader efforts to ensure accountability and drive reforms in Ghana’s energy sector.
