Vice President Opoku-Agyemang joins Muslims to celebrate Eid, calls for unity
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has joined the Ahlus Sunna Muslim community at the State House forecourt to mark this year’s Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The vice president, who was elegantly dressed in modest attire befitting the occasion, participated alongside distinguished imams, clerics, and members of the Muslim community, as well as other Ghanaians gathered to observe the end of Ramadan.
In her message, Prof Opoku-Agyemang described Ramadan as a period marked by discipline, sacrifice, and moral renewal, noting that it offers an important opportunity for reflection, character development, and a recommitment to responsible citizenship.
She added that the values reinforced during the holy month continue to strengthen national unity.
Extending her Eid Mubarak wishes to Muslims across the country, she called for sustained peace, unity, and collective responsibility in building a harmonious society.
She further expressed hope that the blessings of Eid would bring joy to hearts, peace to homes, and contribute to deepening national cohesion.
