The Adenta Circuit Court has granted bail to Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt.

Widely known as Counsellor Lutterodt, the popular personality was brought before the court for allegedly inciting youth to storm the residence of late Highlife musician Daddy Lumba with pickaxes.

Lutterodt has been charged with one count of offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court admitted him to bail in the sum of ¢50,000, with two sureties who must be justified.

According to the prosecution, Lutterodt, who is described as a biomedical clinical engineer and a resident of SSNIT Flats in Adenta, Accra, was arrested after police came across a viral video circulating on Facebook.

The video, which was shared on the platform Kwesi TV on Monday, March 9, 2026, allegedly captured the accused urging some youth to storm the home of the late musician.

In the footage, the charge sheet states that Lutterodt said: “If it is true that Lumba, as it is alleged, has been buried in the house, I want to ask the Ga boys in Accra that we shouldn’t wait for the police, let's move to the residence of Lumba and I am calling action now for the desigration of the land. Walk to the house with pick axe. We are not fighting any human being, enter the residence of Lumba and let's find where the body has been buried.”

Prosecutors told the court that the video prompted police to move in and arrest the accused.

Investigators further revealed that during the course of inquiries, another video emerged showing a group of youth believed to be Ga residents gathered at the residence of the late musician.

The prosecution indicated that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
