The Cyber Security Authority, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, has arrested Rev Dr Ebenezer Conduah, over offences relating to child sexual abuse material.

In a Facebook update, Minister of Communication, Digital Technology & Innovation Samuel George described the religious leader as "a self-styled radio international marriage counsellor".

The arrest was carried out in the early hours of March 6, 2026, as the nation prepared to celebrate its 69th Independence Day, the minister indicated.

He explained that the suspect was arrested for offences relating to child sexual abuse material in violation of Sections 62 and 63 of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038).

Investigations revealed that the abuse involved a 17-year-old minor and had allegedly been ongoing for the past four years.

The minister added the Cyber Security Authority’s team uncovered recordings and online postings by the accused on international pornographic websites.

He said Rev Dr Conduah was arraigned before a court on Sunday, March 8, 2026, where he was remanded into custody for three weeks to allow investigators to complete their work.
