Pru East MP launches quiz competition to nurture academic excellence
The Member of Parliament for Pru East Constituency, Emmanuel Kweku Boam, has spearheading an impactful educational initiative aimed at nurturing academic excellence among young students.
Launched in 2023, the Independence Day Quiz Competition has quickly gained recognition as a vibrant platform for promoting learning and discovering hidden talents within the constituency.
Speaking to the media, the Hon. Kweku Boam said the competition recorded significant participation last year, with about 60 schools taking part, reflecting growing interest and community support.
The event brings together students, teachers, and parents in an atmosphere that blends education with entertainment.
Participants are given the opportunity to test their knowledge across various subjects, helping to boost confidence and encourage healthy academic competition.
He emphasized that the initiative seeks to raise educational standards in Pru East while providing young learners with meaningful opportunities to excel.
Winners of the competition are rewarded with prizes such as laptops and essential school supplies, further motivating students to strive for excellence.
Boam also announced that this year’s edition will be even bigger, with increased school participation and expanded activities.
Teachers who visited the Honorable member in parliament Roger with the students praised the initiative as a positive force in the community, noting that it not only enhances learning but also strengthens unity among schools and families.
