The Chairperson-elect of the Central Presbytery, Rev Nana Osei Owusu Fosu, brings over two decades of experience in ordained ministry, marked by dedication, strong leadership, and a commitment to advancing the mission of the Church.

With 21 years of service since his commissioning in 2005, Rev Owusu Fosu has built a solid reputation across various congregations and districts. He began his ministry as the first Resident Minister at Emmanuel Congregation in Asante Juaben and has since served in Akweley-Kasoa, Agona Swedru, Winneba, and currently Breman Asikuma, where he is the District Minister.

Born in Kumasi and originally from Abease in the Bono East Region, he has an extensive academic background. His education includes studies at the Catholic University College of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, Trinity Theological Seminary, and the University of Ghana, Legon. He also attended Acherensua Secondary School and SDA Secondary School in Asante Bekwai.

Beyond his pastoral work, Rev Owusu Fosu has played significant administrative roles within the Presbytery. His contributions include serving as Presbytery Clerk, Director of Church Life and Nurture, Acting Director of Mission and Evangelism, Young Adult Fellowship Chaplain, Recorder, and Vice-President of the Central Presbytery Ministers’ Fellowship.

He has also chaired and convened several key committees, notably the Editorial Committee responsible for producing the Presbytery Calendar, Translated Almanac, and the newsletter The Angelos. His leadership extends beyond the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, having served as both Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Agona Swedru Local Council of Churches, as well as leading an international exchange programme in Germany.

Rev Owusu Fosu is married to Mrs Vida Fosu, and they have four children: Henry, Wilfred, Amanda, and Emmanuel.

He is expected to officially assume office as Chairperson of the Central Presbytery on September 1, 2026.
