The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga East, Hon. Edmund Agboh, has assured residents of Kwabenya of government’s commitment to completing key stalled development projects in the area.

Speaking at a press conference in response to concerns raised by the Kwabenya Youth Association (KYA), the MCE said government remains focused on improving infrastructure and delivering essential projects to the community.

Hon. Agboh addressed concerns surrounding the abandoned classroom block at the Kwabenya Cluster of Schools, explaining that the GETFund-sponsored project has been approved for re-evaluation and that the Assembly’s Works Department is expected to begin work soon.

He also provided updates on the Dome-Kwabenya Road project, describing it as a major 23-kilometre road rehabilitation initiative currently being undertaken under government’s BIG PUSH programme.

According to him, work on the road is ongoing and is expected to be completed by 2028.

On the Astro-Turf Project, the MCE disclosed that the facility is about 90 percent complete and appealed to residents to remain patient as efforts continue to finalize the project.

The Kwabenya Youth Association had earlier commended government for projects such as the establishment of the Ga East Municipal Hospital and the Kwabenya Senior High School but called for urgent attention to the stalled projects affecting the community.

Hon. Agboh reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to working with residents and stakeholders to accelerate development and improve living conditions in the municipality.
